Founder-led sales, without the admin

One agent runs the whole weekly loop across four apps. It researches 20–50 companies, drafts the emails and the LinkedIn notes, keeps HubSpot up to date, reads the replies and offers times from your calendar. You send everything yourself.

The problem

You are the best salesperson you have. And the one with the least time

Early on, the founder sells. Buyers want to hear from the person who built the product, and nobody else knows the story as well. The trouble is everything around the conversation: the research, the writing, the logging and the scheduling.

A personalized cold email often takes 15–20 minutes when done right. Look up the company, find a real reason to write, draft three touches, log it in the CRM. Multiply by 30 companies and outreach eats a day you meant to spend on product or hiring.

So it slips. Outreach happens in bursts after a quiet month. Replies sit for two days because nobody saw them. HubSpot falls behind, follow-ups get missed, and a warm lead books with someone else because the calendar link went out too late.

Who has it

Who this is for
People who still sell themselves

This is for anyone doing founder-led sales who wants a steady weekly pipeline without hiring a sales team yet, and who would rather send 30 good emails than 3,000 average ones.
  • Seed-stage founders

You are finding your first 20 customers. Every conversation teaches you something, so you want to have more of them. You know who to target and what to say. You do not have the hours to research and write it all.

  • Series A founder-CEOs

You hired your first seller, but the best deals still come from you. You want your own short list of strategic accounts worked every week, in your voice, without losing a morning to it.

  • Consultants

Your next project depends on the outreach you do while busy with this one. A small, steady flow of thoughtful emails keeps the pipeline from going dry between engagements, without turning you into a full-time marketer.

  • Agency owners

Referrals are great until they stop. You want to reach a few dozen right-fit companies each week with a note that shows you looked at their site, and keep track of who replied in one place.

When it hits

When the agent runs. Every Monday, with replies checked daily

The loop is weekly on purpose. These are the moments where a prepared queue saves the week.
  1. 01

    Monday morning

You open Gmail and the week’s drafts are waiting: a short brief on each company, three emails and a LinkedIn note. You read, tweak a line or two and send the ones you like.

  2. 02

    A reply comes in

The agent checks every 15–30 minutes. It logs the reply in HubSpot, drafts an answer and offers two or three open slots from your calendar. You approve it and send.

  3. 03

    Someone says yes

Once the prospect confirms a time, the agent creates the meeting in Google Calendar and updates the deal stage. No copy and paste between your inbox, CRM and calendar.

  4. 04

    Replies run thin

If a batch gets few answers, a vetted copywriter from your talent plan can rework the angle and the emails, then the agent writes the next week in the new voice.

What teams use today

What founders try first
Three popular outreach tools

Most founders start with a sales database or a sending platform, often with an AI cold email generator built in. All three below are good tools. They are built to send for you, at volume.
  • Apollo.io

    Sales database and engagement platform
From $49/user/mo (Basic), free plan available, checked Oct 2026
    Good at

A large B2B contact database with email sequencing, CRM integrations and enrichment in one place. The free plan lets you try it with Gmail, and paid plans add credits for emails, phone numbers and warmup.

    Falls short

Built for reps who run sequences every day. More AI features sit on Professional, and credits do not roll over. A founder writing to 30 companies a week often pays for more machine than the job needs.

  • Instantly

    Cold email sending platform
From $37.60/mo (Growth, billed annually), checked Oct 2026
    Good at

Growth includes unlimited email accounts, unlimited warmup and 5,000 emails a month. Strong for teams that care about deliverability across many inboxes. Bundles add a large lead database.

    Falls short

The AI email writer and lead database come in bundles, not Growth. Sending is automatic and built for volume, which suits big campaigns more than a few dozen notes you check yourself.

  • lemlist

    Multichannel outreach platform
From $55/user/mo (Email plan, billed yearly), checked Oct 2026
    Good at

The Email plan includes a 650M+ lead database, an email and phone finder, warmup, a deliverability hub and AI agents for enrichment and messaging. The Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn steps for teams that want them.

    Falls short

Its sequences send for you, up to 50,000 emails a month. If you want every message read and sent by you, from your own Gmail, much of what you pay for sits unused.

How it works

How founder-led sales runs on one agent
From your ICP sheet to a booked meeting

One agent runs the full loop across your apps. It stops before anything leaves your account, so every email and note goes out under your hand.

Founder-led outreach

When: Every Monday, replies daily
  1. Step 1 · Google Sheets

Reads your ICP and the accounts you already work with, so it skips current clients.

  2. Step 2 · Awesomic

Researches each company on the open web and writes a short brief on why it fits.

  3. Step 3 · Gmail

Drafts three emails per company, in small batches, with your sender address and an unsubscribe line.

  4. Step 4 · HubSpot

Creates the deals, reads replies and drafts the answers for you to approve.

  5. Step 5 · Google Calendar

Offers free slots and books the meeting once the prospect confirms.

  1. Connect Gmail and HubSpot

Link the inbox you send from and your CRM. No HubSpot yet? A Google Sheet works as a simple CRM. Add Calendar and Slack when you want them.

  2. Describe who you sell to

Fill an ICP sheet with industries, sizes and signals, plus a few emails you have sent that got replies. The agent learns your angle and your voice from them.

  3. Set the weekly batch

Pick a number between 20 and 50 companies and the day it runs. Drafts arrive in Gmail, and a short summary can land in Slack.

FAQ

Good questions.
Short answers.

Why not send for me?

Your name is on every email. Drafts keep you in control and keep your domain safe. You read each one, change what you like and press send, which also keeps the tone honest.

Does it send LinkedIn messages?

No. There is no automated LinkedIn sending and no profile scraping. The agent writes a short note for each company, and you send it from your own account if you want to.

Does it work without HubSpot?

Yes. A Google Sheet works as a simple CRM, with one row per company and a column for status. You can move to HubSpot later and the agent picks up from there.

How many companies a week?

Usually 20–50. Small batches get better replies and protect your sender reputation. Every draft includes your sender address and an unsubscribe line.

Can I see open rates?

No. We track replies, not opens. Replies are the signal that matters for a founder, and the agent logs each one in HubSpot or your sheet with a drafted answer.

What does it cost?

Agent plans start at $19 per person per month, with the same agents and models on every plan. Add a talent plan if you want a copywriter to tune the emails. No setup fees, cancel anytime.

Take a deep breath… and fill your calendar

Connect Gmail and HubSpot, share your ICP sheet, and review your first week of drafts on Monday. You send what you like, and the agent keeps the rest in order.
