What I love about Awesomic is that we can collaborate with a really good designer. And the only thing that might make us cancel the subscription is hiring an in-house team. To be honest, I don’t think we’ll need that in the foreseeable future - Awesomic covers all our needs.

We were lucky to meet Awesomic during Y Combinator’s summer ’21 batch - they’ve done a ton of design work for us since. Most recently, they designed and developed Playhouse’s landing page. Having no in-house Webflow expertise they were the perfect plug-n-play solution. We provided some high level requirements and went live in a matter of days. Absolutely worth it. So much more affordable than hiring a full-time designer.

Our first experience with Awesomic was great, and the second – which was more involved – was just okay. I think the product is great for shorter tasks, but we struggled to get the speed and autonomy we needed on a larger project. To Awesomic’s credit, maybe we were unlucky with the designer! But the Awesomic team responded to the lack-of-speed issue by replacing our designer without consulting us first, and we didn’t have the capacity to onboard a different designer at the time. I’m hesitant that the model they employ scales well beyond tasks of a shorter intensity.

Awesomic is incredible! Within a month we got all of our branding done – including email templates, a new landing page, new logo, new mobile screens – and even had an implementation done with Webflow. More importantly, the designers helped us think through UX with pointed questions which made the end result much cleaner and easier to implement. Awesomic is an incredible service and we’ll definitely keep using it as we iterate on our UX.
