Awesomic received funding and mentorship from Google

At the beginning of the war, Google announced a grant of $5 million for startups in Ukraine. The tech giant actively supports Ukrainian companies so that they can continue their activities, have the opportunity to strengthen their community, and contribute to the reconstruction of the Ukrainian economy.

In May, Google already managed to provide funding to 17 startups. And now, its fund has chosen 16 more companies, including Awesomic and other innovative companies such as Agrolabs, Cardiolyse, Esper Bionics, Masthead Data, and Promin Aerospace.

"We are grateful to Google for funding Awesomic and the Ukrainian startup community. We plan to invest the received funds in developing new marketing channels and increasing sales," said Roman Sevast, CEO and co-founder of Awesomic.

Ukrainian startup Awesomic helps companies find proven designers and get design results within 24 hours. The company was founded in 2020 by Roman Sevast, 26, and Anastasia Pavlyshyna, 27. More than 1,370 customers worldwide have chosen Awesomic for their design-related tasks. The platform is currently used by more than 200 startups, including Y Combinator, YC Foundation, and Lift99.

In two years, the startup attracted $2.5 million. Investors include Flyer One Ventures, Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund, business angels Ragnar Saas (Pipedrive), Michael Siebel (Y Combinator), James Park (FitBit), and others. In 2021, Awesomic passed the acceleration program Y Combinator (S21).

This year, Google will announce the third group of Ukrainian startups that will receive funding.
